Doctors in Training
The practice is a training practice and helps with the education of student doctors, newly qualified doctors known as Foundation Year 2 doctors and doctors training to be GPs known as Specialist Trainees (STs). When you make an appointment we aim to tell you if you will be seeing a doctor in training so that you have an opportunity to decide if you are happy to do this. Medical students sometimes sit-in on appointments as part of their training; please advise the doctor if you want the student to leave the consulting room. All student doctors and doctors in training are fully supported and supervised by the regular doctors of the practice.

Locums
From time to time locum doctors are employed to cover surgeries (and occasionally visits) during doctors' holidays. These doctors are fully qualified GPs and members of the GMC. They are also officially registered on the Performer's List of a Primary Care Trust.
