Prescriptions

Patients on regular medication do not always need to see a doctor to obtain a repeat prescription. The only drugs that can be obtained by repeat prescription are those which your doctor has already agreed to prescribe.

For your own safety, requests must be made in writing and will not be accepted over the telephone. Prescriptions have a tear-off slip on the right side which lists the repeat medicines and doses. You can order a repeat prescription in three ways:

1) Clearly tick the medicines you need on the tear-off slip and return it in person using our ‘postbox’ system in the surgery reception. We will post your prescription to you if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope with the request.

2) Clearly tick the medicines you need on the counterfoil and fax it to the surgery on 020 7561 1237.

3) Via our online ordering facility.   To use this facility you will first need to register by collecting a personalised registration form from reception.  Once you have this, follow this link:  Emisaccess

It takes time to process the numerous requests that are received each day. Please allow at least two full working days for us to get your prescription ready for collection. Please be aware that you may be asked to come in and see the doctor for a review before a repeat prescription can be issued. We shall soon be collaborating with some of the local pharmacies whereby they will send your repeat prescription request to us electronically, and you will be able to collect your medication directly from them. Look out for more news on this.
