Minor Ailments Scheme
Sometimes you might have a good idea what is wrong with you and just require medication to put things right without the need to see a doctor and take up a valuable appointment. If this is the case the Minor Ailments Scheme might be the answer. It provides you with the help of your local pharmacist to offer advice and treatment if appropriate for most of the common conditions listed above. For more information see the Minor Ailments Patient Leaflet.
To access the scheme you must come into the surgery and collect a form which you can then take to the pharmacy.
Do I have to pay?
- If you don't normally pay for prescriptions then you will get any medicine the pharmacist gives you free
- if you normally pay for prescriptions you will be charged the standard prescription fee (currently £7.10).
